The House of MacGregor
The House of MacGregor has been creating hats using traditional millinery techniques since 2002. Raised in Dallas, Cassandra MacGregor began taking evening hat making classes for fun at the Fashion Institute of Technology while living in New York City. It was love at first hat and after completing the school’s millinery program she promptly left her office job and began working with a wide variety of hat makers in the city. Operating under the philosophy that everyone has something different to teach she spent the next five years with theatrical milliners on Broadway, fashion show hat suppliers, and couturiers making hats on a custom basis. In 2008 Ms. MacGregor decided to hang her hat back in Dallas, opening a private atelier in the historic Bishop Art’s district of the city. While still able to supply her international clientele she is now open for custom appointments out of a renovated 1950′s automobile garage. www.thehouseofmacgregor.com
